Topic: Tropical and Exotic Trees in Haiti and Florida<br />
Objectives: To research and compare exotic and tropical trees found in Haiti and<br />
Florida.<br />
Time Frame: One to two weeks<br />
Area of Infusion: Language Arts<br />
To understand the importance of exotic and tropical trees in Haiti<br />
and Florida.<br />
To read the story “My Friend the Tree” and discuss with the class<br />
some of the trees grown in Haiti delineated in the story and why it is<br />
important for those trees to exist.<br />
