Staff Survey Question: In what areas has CFHS made the most progress this year? Please describe.<br />

Teachers (n=36 teachers: 35 responses*; 1 blank)<br />

1. Alienating teachers<br />

2. Basic-level intervention in Lower House Classes. Better preparedness <strong>for</strong> next year due to<br />

advanced schedule planning.<br />

3. Beginning to look more at data <strong>for</strong> making decisions. Programs are being put into place but<br />

there is not involvement or sharing of in<strong>for</strong>mation with the faculty<br />

4. CFHS has made the most progress in the area of coming up with an evaluation process that is<br />

redundant and intimidating.domains.<br />

5. Communication with the Media.<br />

6. Developing accountability, teacher evaluations<br />

7. Finally suspending repeat offenders.<br />

8. Getting a small number of the extreme behavior issues into programs that are more beneficial<br />

to them<br />

11. Great progress has been made in meeting the needs of the over-aged, under-credited student.<br />

13. I am not sure. Leadership does not clearly communicate to faculty. Many changes are rolled<br />

out to the faculty as a done deal. If anything, the climate has not gotten better-it is almost toxic<br />

<strong>for</strong> teachers and students. I think PR about what leadership perceives are positive changes gets<br />

to the news media.<br />

14. I believe administration and some teachers have made great ef<strong>for</strong>ts to assist students with academic<br />

success. I.e. PM school, G2S, Unified Scholars senior ef<strong>for</strong>ts.<br />

15. I cannot honestly say that I have seen any significant improvements. Behaviors are still a significant<br />

issue as evidenced by the high #s of referrals to ISS & 4-6 paid adults “walking the halls.”<br />

16. Implementation of multiple pathways to graduation<br />

17. In the area of including Special Education students into the mainstream population. Mr. Capellan<br />

was SO supportive.<br />
