mklost+found - make a lost+found directory for fsck<br />

SYNOPSIS<br />

mklost+found<br />

DESCRIPTION<br />

A directory lost+found is created in the current directory <strong>and</strong> a<br />

number of empty files are created therein <strong>and</strong> then removed so<br />

that there will be empty slots for fsck(IM). This comm<strong>and</strong><br />

should be run immediately after first mounting <strong>and</strong> changing<br />

directory to a newly created file system. For small file systems, it<br />

is sufficient (<strong>and</strong> much faster) to simply make a lost+found directory.<br />

Up to 30 files can be recovered in it.<br />

EXAMPLE<br />

mklost+found<br />

in the current directory, creates a directory with empty slots<br />

named lost+found.<br />
