SERIAL MANAGER SUPPORT<br />

The following new ioetl calls were added to support the Serial<br />

Manager running under NUX 2.0. Five of the calls have the form<br />

ioetl (fildes, comm<strong>and</strong>, 0)<br />

The comm<strong>and</strong>s using this form are as follows:<br />

TCRESET Reset the serial line identified by filedes.<br />

TCSETDTR Drive the DTR line high for the serial line<br />

identified by filedes. This turns DTR on.<br />

TCCLRDTR Drive the DTR line low for the serial line<br />

identified by filedes. This turns DTR off.<br />

TCSBRKM Set break mode for the serial line identified by<br />

filedes. This starts a line break signal.<br />

TCCBRKM Clear break mode for the serial line identified by<br />

filedes. This terminates a line break signal.<br />

Two of the calls have the form<br />

ioetl (fildes, comm<strong>and</strong>, arg)<br />

int *arg;<br />

The comm<strong>and</strong>s using this form are as follows:<br />

TCSETSTP Set the stop character for flow control for the<br />

serial line identified by filedes. arg points to a<br />

byte containing the new stop character.<br />

TCSETSTA Set the start character for flow control for the<br />

serial line identified by filedes. arg points to a<br />

byte containing the new start character.<br />

One call has the form<br />

ioetl (fildes, comm<strong>and</strong>, arg)<br />
