The Metropolitan Water Supply, Sewerage, and<br />
Drainage Act, 1909.<br />
ORDER, IN COUNCIL.<br />
M.W.S. 745/22.<br />
WHEREAS by "The Metropolitan Water Supply, Sewerage,<br />
and Drainage Act, 1909," it is provided that,<br />
subject to the provisions of the Act, the Minister of<br />
Water Supply, Sewerage, and Drainage shall, with the<br />
approval of the Governor, have power to construct and<br />
extend Water Works, Sewerage Works, and Stormwater<br />
Drainage Worl:s; and whereas it is further provided<br />
that the Governor may exempt reticulation works from<br />
certain sections of this Act: Now, therefore, His Excellency<br />
the Governor, with the advice of the Executive<br />
Council, hereby approves of the construction by the<br />
Minister of Water Supply, Sewerage, and Drainage of<br />
the following works under the said Act, and does hereby<br />
exempt such works from the operations of Sections 20,<br />
21, 22, and 23 of the said Act:<br />

Fremantle Municipality.<br />
Proposed 6in. diameter stoneware pipe sewer, commencing<br />
at a point on existing sewer in Beach Street,<br />
opposite Lot No. 265l; thence in a South-Easterly direction<br />
through privai e property for a distance of about<br />
170 feet; thence in a Southerly direction for a distance<br />
of about 70 feet to a point on existing sewer, as shown<br />
on Plan M.W.S., S., & D.D. No. 1083.<br />
This Order in Council shall take effect fromthe 13th<br />
day of October, 1922.<br />

BOAT LICENSING ACT, 1878.<br />

HIS Excellence the Administrator in Council has been<br />
pleased, under the provisions of "The Boat Licensing<br />
Act, 1878," to extend the limits of the jurisdiction of<br />
the Cossack Boat Licensing Board to include those<br />
waters within a line from Sloping Point (West end of<br />
Nichol Bay) to the East end of Forrestier Islands; also<br />
to<br />
(1) cancel the appointment of Archibald Campbell,<br />
Hay Marshall, and John Page as members of<br />
the Balla Balla Boat Licensing Board; and<br />
(2) abolish the said Balla Balla Boat Licensing<br />
Board and the limits specified within which<br />
such Board has jurisdiction.<br />

Local Court, Narrogin, during the absence of Sergeant<br />
Leen as from 4th October, 1922.<br />

HIS Excellency the Administrator in Executive Council<br />
has been pleased to appoint George Tuthill Wood, who<br />
has already been appointed Senior Metropolitan Stipendiary<br />
Magistrate, as a Magistrate of Local Courts<br />
under Section 8 of the Local Courts Act, No. 51 of<br />
1904; and to assign to the said George Tuthill Wood the<br />
Perth, Midland .Junction, and Moora. Local Courts; and<br />
further to appoint the said George Tuthill Wood as a<br />
Police Magistrate for the <strong>State</strong> of Western Australia;<br />
and also as Chairman and Member of the Swan, Moore,<br />
and Guildford Licensing Courts under the Licensing<br />
Act, 1911.<br />

HIS Excellency the Administrator in Executive Council<br />
has been pleased to declare that George Tuthill Wood,<br />
being a Magistrate of the Local Court, shall be a Court<br />
of Review under "The Land and Income Tax Assessment<br />
Act, 1907," having jurisdiction over the whole<br />
<strong>State</strong>, to hear and determine, subject to the provisions<br />
of the said Act, all appeals from assessments made thereunder.<br />
