NOTICE is hereby given that at a Poll taken in the<br />

Northam Shop District on Wednesday, the 4th day of<br />

September, 1922, under the provisions of "The Factories<br />

and Shops Act, 1920," on the resolution "Do you<br />

vote that there shall be a late shopping night in this<br />

district?" 826 electors voted " Yes " and 569 electors<br />

voted "No." The resolution was therefore carried by<br />

a majority of 257.<br />

And on the resolution " Do' you vote that shops generally<br />

throughout the district shall close at one o 'clock<br />

p.m., on Wednesdays," 875 electors voted " Yes " and<br />

4:96 electors voted " No." The resolution was therefore<br />

carried by a majority of 379.<br />

appoint JosephllcWhirmey, of Sydney, New Softh<br />

Wales, Solicitor, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court<br />

of Western Aust ilia, to administer or take, within the<br />

<strong>State</strong> of New South Wales, any oath, affidavit, affirmation,<br />

declaration, or acknowledgment by a married<br />

woman to be used in the Supreme Court of Western<br />

Australia. The Commission to remain in force until the<br />

said Joseph c-Whinney ceases to reside in the said<br />

<strong>State</strong> aforesaid, or until he ceases to Iractise the profession<br />

of a Solicitor there, or until revoked.<br />

VERMIN ACT, 1918.<br />

,8ection 13 (Regulation 3).<br />

WHEREAS it is provided by Section 13 of "The Vermin<br />

Act, 1918," that the -Minister may, at his discretion,<br />

delegate to the Chief _Inspector any of the powers<br />

conferred by the said Act on the Minister, and whereas<br />

-Fleury Kennedy Maley, Minister for Agriculture,<br />

being the Minister charged with the administration of<br />

the said Act, desire to delegate to the Chief Inspector<br />

all my powers under the provisions of the said Act hereinafter<br />

mentioned until such time as I shall revoke this<br />

delegation: Now therefore I, the said Henry Kennedy<br />

Maley, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the<br />

powers and discretion conferred by the said Section 13,<br />

and of all other powers me in this behalf enabling, delegate<br />

to the Chief Inspector under the' said Act every<br />

power conferred on me by Sections 55, 56, 67, 74, 77,<br />

Subsection 3 of Section 79, Subsection 3 of Section 35,<br />

Section 86, Subsection 4 of Section 87, and Sections 92,<br />

94, 96, 100, 105, 113, and 114 of the said Act which it<br />

is possible for me to confer on the Chief Inspector, and<br />

so that as far as possible there shall be nothing which I,<br />

or the Minister for the time being charged with the administration<br />

of the said Act, can or might be able to do<br />

in person under any of the aforesaid provisions which<br />

may not be done under the authority of this delegation,<br />

and r declare that this delegation shall continue in force<br />

until revoked by me, or the Minister for the tune being<br />

charged with the administration of the said Act, but<br />

shall not affect the exercise by me, or such Minister as<br />

aforesaid, of any power or function.<br />

Municipality of BussellonLoan of £2,500.<br />

IT is hereby notified that the Council of the 'Municipality<br />

of Busselton propose to borrow the sum of ii2,500<br />

for the purpose of converting and increasing the power<br />

of the Electric Plant.<br />

Of this amount, £1,000 is to be borrowed from the<br />

Savings :Dank at 614 per cent., repayable within 15<br />

years. The balance of £1,500 is to be obtained by a,<br />

Bank advance for that a ill (Milt at the current bank rate<br />

of interest, repayable within two years.<br />
