Local AIG Plan, 2010-2013 Page 16 of 67 7/12/2010 REEVALUATION PROCEDURES • K-3 identified students will take the CogAT/ITBS along with all 3rd graders; if they qualify, that will count as their reevaluation. If they do NOT meet the identification standards, they will exit the AIG program. They do not need to continue with an IDEP. • Any elementary student with an IDEP will need to be reevaluated by the end of their 5th grade year to determine if they need continued differentiated services through the AIG program. The SBCGE will meet to review the reassessment data and student portfolio to determine eligibility. • Middle School reevaluation may occur if requested by SBCGE. This may occur when: 1. Student performance indicates no need for service at the Annual Performance Review. 2. Student performance indicates a need to gather data for education planning in consideration for acceleration. EXITING PROCEDURES from AIG Program at SBCGE request: • Parent conference to review student performance data and concerns • SBCGE recommendation for service no longer needed; temporary inactive status or remain active during reevaluation process • Instructional Support Plan implemented for one full semester • Documentation of implemented strategies reviewed • Request for updated evaluation data • SBCGE determines need for differentiated services EXITING PROCEDURES from AIG Program at parent request: A parent may request student exit from the AIG Program without a reevaluation. Standard 1: Student Identification The LEA's student identification procedures for AIG are clear, equitable, and comprehensive and lead towards appropriate educational services. Practice G Maintains documentation that explains the identification process and service options for individual AIG students, which is reviewed annually with parents/families.

Rationale: Although the identification process and service options are documented and shared with parents each year, more thorough clarification is needed according to feedback collected during our evaluation. Additionally, some identification procedures have been clarified and documents will need to be updated.
