¾ Johnson moved into fourth place on <strong>the</strong> team’s single-<strong>season</strong> receiving<br />

yards li<strong>st</strong>. He became <strong>the</strong> fir<strong>st</strong> player in team hi<strong>st</strong>ory with two<br />

1,300-yard <strong>season</strong>s.<br />

¾ By regi<strong>st</strong>ering 80 receptions, 1,300 yards and 10 TDs (<strong>season</strong> totals<br />

were 96 for 1,681 yards and 13 TDs), Johnson has joined Wr Herman<br />

Moore (123 for 1,686 and 16 TDs) as <strong>the</strong> only players in team hi<strong>st</strong>ory<br />

to tally those numbers in a single <strong>season</strong>.<br />

¾ Johnson moved his career total touchdown total to 48, and he moved<br />

pa<strong>st</strong> rB Billy sims (47, 1980-84) for third all-time in team hi<strong>st</strong>ory,<br />

¾ finished with 4 catches for 102 yards and 1 touchdown <<strong>st</strong>rong>vs</<strong>st</strong>rong>. san Diego<br />

(12/24). He <strong>st</strong>arted <strong>the</strong> game off on <strong>the</strong> fir<strong>st</strong> offensive play with a 46yard<br />

reception. With 0:31 left in <strong>the</strong> second quarter, Johnson caught a<br />

14-yard touchdown pass from <strong>st</strong>afford to give <strong>the</strong> <<strong>st</strong>rong>lions</<strong>st</strong>rong> a 24-0 lead<br />

heading into <strong>the</strong> half.<br />

¾ Johnson’s touchdown reception was his 15th of <strong>the</strong> <strong>season</strong>, which tied<br />

<strong>the</strong> team single-<strong>season</strong> record set previously by e Cloyce Box in 1952.<br />

¾ Johnson caught 11 passes (career high) for 244 yards and had 1<br />

touchdown catch at Green Bay in <strong>the</strong> 2011 finale. His 244 receiving<br />

yards re-set his career high e<strong>st</strong>ablished two weeks prior when he had<br />

214 at oakland (12/18/11). His 11 receptions again<strong>st</strong> Green Bay were<br />

also a new career single-game high.<br />

¾ With 244 receiving yards in a game, it marked <strong>the</strong> third-highe<strong>st</strong> tally<br />

by a <<strong>st</strong>rong>lions</<strong>st</strong>rong> receiver in team hi<strong>st</strong>ory and <strong>the</strong> mo<strong>st</strong> since Wr richard<br />

Johnson had 248 yards <<strong>st</strong>rong>vs</<strong>st</strong>rong>. New orleans 12/3/89. Johnson became only<br />

<strong>the</strong> second player in team hi<strong>st</strong>ory (e Cloyce Box), and fir<strong>st</strong> to do so in<br />

<strong>the</strong> same <strong>season</strong>, to record two 200-yard receiving games.<br />

¾ 11 receptions by Johnson were <strong>the</strong> mo<strong>st</strong> by a <<strong>st</strong>rong>lions</<strong>st</strong>rong> receiver since Wr<br />

Mike furrey had 11 catches at Dallas 12/31/06.<br />

¾ With a 13-yard touchdown reception in <strong>the</strong> second quarter to put <strong>the</strong><br />

<<strong>st</strong>rong>lions</<strong>st</strong>rong> <strong>up</strong> 16-10 at Green Bay, Johnson set <strong>the</strong> team’s all-time single<strong>season</strong><br />

record for touchdown receptions (16). He broke <strong>the</strong> previous<br />

record of 15 set by e Cloyce Box in 1952.<br />

COLLEGE<br />

Johnson was a two-time all-american who claimed <strong>the</strong> 2006 Biletnikoff<br />

award (nation’s top receiver) and 2006 aCC Conference Player of <strong>the</strong> year.<br />

He was named fir<strong>st</strong> team all-aCC three-<strong>st</strong>raight years (2004-06), and was<br />

<strong>the</strong> fir<strong>st</strong> player in Georgia Tech hi<strong>st</strong>ory to earn that honor. in 38 games, he<br />

set school records with 2,927 yards receiving and 28 touchdown receptions<br />

and ranked second in Georgia Tech hi<strong>st</strong>ory with 178 career receptions.<br />

¾ Named aCC Player of <strong>the</strong> year. Ju<strong>st</strong> <strong>the</strong> second junior (fsU’s Charlie<br />

Ward, 1992) in <strong>the</strong> la<strong>st</strong> 25 years to win <strong>the</strong> aCC Player of <strong>the</strong> year award.<br />
