SERIES NOTES
Detroit claimed victories in the fi rst four
games of the series, with each being a
shutout. The Lions also won seven of
the fi rst eight meetings.
The Lions’ last tie in a regular season
game was against the Eagles (23-23)
November 4, 1984, the only tie in
Silverdome history.
On September 26, 2004, the Eagles
visited Detroit for the fi rst time since
1984. With 135 yards, WR Roy Williams
became the fi rst Detroit rookie receiver
to gain 100 receiving yards since 2000.
In Detroit’s last win over Philadelphia,
the Lions’ defense sacked Eagles QB
Randall Cunningham 11 times to tie a
club record in a 13-11 win November 6,
1986. Seven Lions’ defenders recorded
sacks, including 4.0 by Keith Ferguson
and 2.5 by William Gay. A 72-yard
scoring strike from Joe Ferguson-to-
Jeff Chadwick in the fi rst quarter turned
out to be the game’s only touchdown.
In the Lions’ first visit to Lincoln
Financial Field (Sept. 23, 2007), QB
Jon Kitna set a franchise record with
446 passing yards. Kitna connected
with WR Roy Williams for a 91-yard
TD, career highs for both players. With
204 receiving yards, Williams’ career
high was the third-highest tally by a
receiver in Lions history.
