Ghouls<br />

Kindred are fond of using ghouls as Retainers, mortals fed and augmented with <strong>the</strong>ir unclean blood. This not only enslaves<br />

<strong>the</strong>m (treat as a Spirit Bond), but makes <strong>the</strong>m unnaturally strong and resistant to injury. Ghouls have an extra dot or two of Strength,<br />

and aren't incapacitated by bashing damage. They have a Blood Pool of two or three <strong>the</strong>y can use for purposes of healing. Ghouls risk<br />

Fire and Wave Nature, but to a much lesser effect than vampires: <strong>the</strong>y gain a +2 bonus to Composure + [Chi Virtue] rolls to resist<br />

frenzy.<br />

Della de Pessaglia Necromancer<br />

This character presents himself as <strong>the</strong> respectable, rarely-seen scion of a Western import-export company, but performs<br />

unclean and sacrilegious rites in secret to force <strong>the</strong> dead to do his bidding. This is a foe that is difficult to face directly because of <strong>the</strong><br />

raw power he brings to bear, as well as <strong>the</strong> allies (mortal and o<strong>the</strong>rwise) he can call on. However, no few Kuei-jin and ghosts want to<br />

see him destroyed due to his disrespectful treatment of <strong>the</strong> departed, including necrophilic rituals and spirit enslavement.<br />

Nature/Demeanor: Deviant/Conformist<br />

Equipment: A respectable suit, chauffeur-driven limo, secluded mansion, corpses, necromantic paraphernalia.<br />

Notes: The necromancer always has ghoul bodyguards with him, as at his estate boasts <strong>the</strong> protection of several enslaved Yinspirits<br />

and zombies (treat as chi'h-mei without <strong>the</strong> raging hunger) to defend him, and can create more if he has time to prepare.<br />

Diva About Town<br />

An arrogant Westerner that sees Asia as nothing more than a vast, “exotic” playground set up for her personal entertainment...<br />

an almost typical barbarian, were it not for her undead hungers and supernatural powers. Perhaps not <strong>the</strong> biggest threat to <strong>the</strong> Courts,<br />

but a nuisance none<strong>the</strong>less. Ignore it long enough, and it might go away. Of course, maybe it's a better idea to encourage her to leave<br />

sooner. You never know if she might take a liking to some mortal and spread her curse...<br />

Nature/Demeanor: Bon Vivant/Celebrant<br />

Equipment: A fast, shiny car, rocks and a fashionable dress. Really, what else does a lady need?<br />

Note: This character is especially adept at reading and finessing mortals through use of Yang Mantle (Yang Prana 2); add +2<br />

dice to such rolls.<br />

Gaijin Hooligan<br />

This loud, rebellious punk is strong and dangerous enough to take on many young Running Monkeys, and even older<br />

vampires. While thankfully not common in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Middle</strong> <strong>Kingdom</strong> (where <strong>the</strong>y attract too much attention and quickly die), such reckless<br />

thugs practically overrun <strong>the</strong> streets of <strong>the</strong> West, and can do significant damage to a Court's territory until exterminated.<br />

Nature/Demeanor: Conformist/Rebel<br />
