Introduction
• Provides a layer 3/4 platform interface, enabling DCP programmers to write
applications that use the X.25 services of X.25 PSCS.
• Provides a layer 4 that enables OS 2200 applications to access the X.25 services
that X.25 PSCS offers.
• Provides a feature that enables Telcon applications to use X.25 services to
communicate with U Series systems (running IS-5000 or IS-6000), Unisys personal
workstations (running IS-PC or IS-CS), UTS 4000 Cluster Controllers (running UTS
X.25 PSCS), and other DCPs.

X.25 PSCS supports industry standard as well as proprietary protocols.

X.25 PSCS supports the TCP-IP Stack, a program product that implements TCP/IP
protocols. This support enables DCPs to communicate with the following:
• TCP/IP-compliant applications across the DDN and PDNs.
• OS 2200 hosts and U Series systems (running IS-5000 or IS-6000) across the DDN.
This capability provides an interface between the TCP-IP Stack applications and
DCA applications, enabling DCPs to communicate as though they were using
Telcon connections. Full Telcon functionality is maintained.

X.25 PSCS provides an interface to the OSI Transport Services (OSITS) program
product, enabling DCPs to communicate over PDNs with Open Systems
Interconnection-compliant applications.
