Introduction 1.3. X.25 PSCS Restrictions 1–12 The following are X.25 PSCS restrictions: • You cannot define the PDN part of a trunk by using both switched virtual circuits (SVCs) and permanent virtual circuits (PVCs). Each trunk must be defined with the same kind of virtual circuit. • X.25 PSCS will not initiate a virtual circuit connection to a UTS 4000 terminal operating under UTS X.25. • A session to the X.28/PAD may not be established from any UTS 4000 terminal operating under UTS X.25 PSCS. • If you define UTS 4000 terminal clusters on a DTE statement, the PDNGRP parent must be one of the first 16 PDNGRP statements listed in the configuration. • X.25 PSCS does not support the data assurance feature for a TTY terminal operating under the X.29 PAD feature or for UTS 4000 terminals operating under UTS X.25. • X.25 PSCS does not support the OS 2200 control statement for TTY terminals (@@TTY). This applies only to terminals operating under the X.29 PAD feature. • You cannot use the BREAK key on SVT-1210 terminals to emulate the message-wait function offered by UTS. This applies only to terminals operating under the X.29 PAD feature. • No terminal using the X.25 protocol can specify ALOC=YES on the TERM statement. • X.25 PSCS does not support the 4 x 1 loadable line module. ——————————————————————————————————————— 7831 5470–200
1.4. DCE Network Limitations The DCE Network feature has the following capacity limits: • 300 lines for each Telcon • 1,900 logical channels for each DTE • 255 closed user groups for each network • Membership in six closed user groups for each DTE Introduction • Nine DTEs for each hunt group (all members of a hunt group must be attached to the same Telcon) • 16,000 octets of message data in combined (M-bit) packets from DTEs • Only one DTE statement can be configured per Level 4 program as an internal DTE ——————————————————————————————————————— 7831 5470–200 1–13
