Setting the Vertical <strong>and</strong> Horizontal Amplification Range<br />

Gain is used to set the range of the vertical <strong>and</strong> horizontal amplification<br />

in the video signal. The st<strong>and</strong>ard gain in the video signal is x1.<br />

The <strong>CMN</strong>-<strong>91</strong> can be used to set the gain amplification in the video signal using the<br />

Gain button. The vertical gain setting appears in the upper-left portion of the waveform<br />

display, as shown in Figure 4-6. The horizontal gain setting appears in the upper-right<br />

portion of the waveform display.<br />

Vertical Amplification<br />

Press <strong>and</strong> release the Gain button, <strong>and</strong> then use the Up/Down arrow knob to scroll<br />

through the gain selection range, or press the Up/Down arrow knob to select one of the<br />

preset gain selections (x0.5, x1.0, x2.5, x5.0).<br />

Horizontal Amplification<br />

Press <strong>and</strong> release the Gain button, <strong>and</strong> then press the Left/Right arrow knob to cycle<br />

through the horizontal gain sequence of x1.0, x5.0, x10.0, <strong>and</strong> back to x1.0. When<br />

vertical sweep is selected, the gain sequence changes to x1.0, x5.0, <strong>and</strong> x25.0.<br />
