(c) Preparation <strong>of</strong> replies to various Parliament Questions, VIP references<br />
from MPs, Ministry <strong>of</strong> Textiles, Ministry <strong>of</strong> Agriculture <strong>and</strong> Central <strong>and</strong><br />
State Governments,<br />
(d) Preparation <strong>and</strong> submission <strong>of</strong> various reports viz.,<br />
Every year, the Government <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong> on recommendation <strong>of</strong> Commission<br />
on Agricultural Costs <strong>and</strong> Prices (CACP) fixes the Minimum Support<br />
Prices. For the purpose, a detailed report on the cotton crop situation,<br />
prices etc. is prepared <strong>and</strong> submitted to CACP. This also involves<br />
protracted correspondence with the Commission, Ministry <strong>of</strong><br />
Agriculture, <strong>and</strong> Office <strong>of</strong> the Textile Commissioner with reference to<br />
the Report <strong>of</strong> Technical Committee <strong>of</strong> CACP, Minimum Support Price<br />
etc.<br />
(e) Preparation <strong>of</strong> Country Statement for the Plenary Meetings <strong>of</strong> the<br />
International <strong>Cotton</strong> Advisory Committee every year<br />
(f) Final Crop Estimation<br />
In order to arrive at final crop estimation, the CAB has appointed a<br />
Sub-committee under the Chairmanship <strong>of</strong> CMD, CCI to review the final<br />
pressing based on State-wise pressing figures obtained by EICA. For<br />
this purpose, on request from EICA, the <strong>Corporation</strong> also compiles<br />
State-wise pressing figures <strong>and</strong> submit the same to the CAB.<br />
(g) <strong>The</strong> <strong>Corporation</strong> has formulated its Citizen Charter <strong>and</strong> displayed the<br />
same on its website. Frequent evaluation <strong>of</strong> Citizen Charter <strong>and</strong> its<br />
timely update on the Website etc., are carried out as per guidelines <strong>of</strong><br />
Ministry.<br />
(h) To review the operations <strong>of</strong> the outgoing season <strong>and</strong> to plan the<br />
strategy for the ensuing cotton season, every year, the <strong>Corporation</strong> is<br />
holding the Conference <strong>of</strong> the Branch Managers. All work relating to<br />
Conference right from the stage <strong>of</strong> convening, preparation <strong>of</strong> agenda<br />
notes, compilation <strong>of</strong> the same <strong>and</strong> minutes etc.<br />
(i) Compilation <strong>of</strong> data from various sections <strong>and</strong> organisations like EICA,<br />
<strong>Cotton</strong> Outlook, TECOYA, Office <strong>of</strong> the Textile Commissioner, DOCD<br />
etc. for preparation <strong>of</strong> daily, weekly <strong>and</strong> monthly reports on cotton<br />
procurement, prices both kapas <strong>and</strong> lint, purchases, sales <strong>and</strong><br />
international cotton situation to Ministry, Office <strong>of</strong> the Textile<br />
Commissioner etc.<br />
(j) Preparation <strong>of</strong> Board items in respect <strong>of</strong> purchase, sales etc. <strong>and</strong><br />
material for Directors Report, Chairman’s speech, press release,<br />
Ministry’s Annual Report <strong>and</strong> quarterly report etc.<br />
