not of the Hyde blood.
FOURTH GENERATION.
rV. Samuel Hyde (22), bom at Windham, Conn., 10
Sept., 1691, the eldest son of Samuel Hyde (4) and Elizabeth
Calkins, was a grandson of Samuel Hyde (2) the first,
and Jane Lee, of I^orwieh. He m. 14 Jan., 1725, Priscilla
Bradford, b. 9 April, 1702, at Norwich, daughter of
Joseph Bradford and Anne Fitch of Lebanon, and afterwards
of New London North Parish, now Montville.
[This Joseph Bradford was a grandson of Gov. "William
Bradford, who came to Plymouth in the May Flower.
He was the only son of William Bradford the second
(who was deputy governor of Plymouth), by his second
wife, the widow Wiswall. His wife, Anne Fitch, born at
Norwich' in April, 1675, to whom he was m. 5 Oct., 1698,
was the only daughter of the Rev. James Fitch, first
minister of Norwich, by his second wife, Priscilla Mason,
daughter of Major John Mason of Norwich, and d. 17
Oct., 1715, at Lebanon ; and he d. 17 Jan., 1747, at Montville.

They settled at Lebanon, Conn., where he d. 14 Feb.,
1776. She survived him, and died there 14 May, 1778,
aged 76.
