HYDE GENEALOGY.
Abel (98) was a grandson of Samuel Hyde (2) the first,
and Jane Lee, of JSTorwicli. He m. 21 Sept., 1721, Sarah
Haskins, daughter of John Haskius of Taunton, Mass.
They settled at iS'orwich, where she d. 6 Sept., 1753.

After the death of his first wife, John Hyde (33) m. 7
Dec., 1755, Elizabeth Backus of Norwich, and died there
22 Oct., 1762. She survived him, and died 26 Kov., 1767.
IV. Eleazer Hyde (34), born at Norwich, Conn., 12
Dec, 1704, the second son of John Hyde (5) and Experience
Abel (98), was a grandson of Samuel Hyde (2) the
first, and Jane Lee, ot" Norwich. He m. 8 Feb., 1733,
Sarah Hewitt of Marshfield, Mass., b. in 1708. They settled
at Norwich, where he d. 11 May, 1772. His will is
dated 26 April, 1760, with a codicil, dated 30 May, 1769,
giving his property to his wife and his three surviving
children. Some of which property, in 1858, still belonged
to the descendants of his daughter, Zylpha, his only child
that left issue.
