HYDE GENEALOGY.
of Korwicli, who was b. 1644 at Marshfield, son of Robert
Waterman and Elizabeth Bourn. He m. Nov., 1668,
Miriam Tracy {see No. 38), the only daughter of Lieut.
Thomas Tracy of Norwich, and d. in 1708. He had by
her three sons and five daughters : 1. Thomas, who m.
29 June, 1691, Elizabeth Allyn. 2. John, who m. 5 Nov.,
1701, Elizabetl^ Lathrop ; and afterwards, 27 Sept., 1709,
Mrs. Judith Woodward ; then, 16 April. 1721, Elizabeth
Bassett. 3. Joseph, who m. Elizabeth Woodward. 4.
Elizabeth, who m. 10 July, 1695, Capt. John Fitch of
Windham. 5. Miriam, who d. 22 Sept., 1760, u. m. 6.
Martha, who m. 30 June, 1709, and was the second wife
of "Lyme's Captain," Deacon Reynold Marvin of Lyme.
7. Lydia, who m. 25 Nov., 1708, Eleazer Burnam. And
8. Anne, who m. 4 Nov., 1713, Josiah Do Wolf of Lyme.
The children of Thomas Waterman 2d and Elizabeth
Allen were: Thomas, b. 1692; John, 1694; Elizabeth,
1696 ; Ebcnezer, 1699 ; Daniel, 1701 ; Elisha, 1704 ; Asa,
1706 ; and probably Sarah and Nehemiah. John Water-
man the first, by his three wives, had eleven children
Elizabeth, b. 1702; Eleazer in 1704; John in 1706, d.
1730 u. m. ; Hannah, in 1708; William in 1710; Samuel
in 1712 ; Ebenezer in 1715 ; Peter in 1717 ; Mary in 1722 ;
David B. in 1725 ; and Elizabeth in 1730. Joseph Waterman
and Elizabeth Woodward had seven children : Timothy,
b. 1717 ; Judith, b 1720 ; Ezra, d. 1725 ; Elizabeth,
b. 1724 ; Mehetable, b. 1727 ; Anne, b. 1730 ; and Joseph,
b. 1733, d. 1753.]
Asa Waterman and his wife Lucy Hyde settled at Norwich,
where he d. 14 Nov.. 1783; and she survived him,
and died there 16 Nov., 1790.
