belonged to his son Nathan, (Har. Col. 1737,) who died young.<br />

<strong>The</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r children had also died; all without children, except<br />

ANNA, who married CAPT. ELISHA GODDARD, <strong>of</strong> Pram., afterwards<br />

<strong>of</strong> Sutton, and had I. Elisha, 3 Dec. 1749, who died in 1771 , without<br />

children; 2. Silence, 18 Nov. 1752, who married Maj. Jonathan Hale,<br />

<strong>of</strong> Sutton. <strong>The</strong>y afterwards lived some years in Pram., where he<br />

was Representative, in 1795; she died <strong>the</strong>re, 15 Jan. 1800. He<br />

removed to Haverhill, N. H. <strong>The</strong>ir children were Nathan, John,<br />

Susanna, Mary, who married Wm. Coolidge, Mehitabel and Nan-<br />

cy ;<br />

<strong>of</strong> Worcester, and had Mehitabel, who died, 18 June, 1839; Nathaniel<br />

Moore, who married Caroline Sumner, <strong>of</strong> Boston, and died<br />

without issue, Oct. 1832 ; Bettj. P., born 24 April, 1792, (Dart. Col.<br />

1812,) physician, in Worcester. He married Nancy Greene, who<br />

died, 4 Aug. 1836; <strong>the</strong>y had Benj., 16 July, 1821, (Har. Univ.<br />

1840;) Caroline, 7 Aug. 1823; Frederick, 30 June, 1825, now a<br />

Junior, at Dart. Col. John ; Green, born 24 May, 1828, died 10<br />

Feb. 1833. Dr. Heywood next married Elizabeth R. Green, and<br />

had Nathaniel M., 26 July, 1839, died an infant ; Nancy Green, 24<br />

Dec. 1840 ; John, 1 March, 1843. Benjamin and Mehitabel Heywood,<br />

also had Joseph in 1794 ; Lucy, who died, an infant, in Nov.<br />

1796; and Nancy, who died 30 Aug. 1814, aged 16. <strong>The</strong>irfa<strong>the</strong>r died 6 Dec. 1816, aged 71. MRS. ANNA GODDARD, died in Oct.<br />

3. Mehitabel, bom 17 July, 1755, married Hon. Benj. Heywood<br />

1756, aged 25. Her HUSBAND died 19 Jan. 1784, aged 64.<br />

JOSEPH HAVEN 2<br />

, bro<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> above, settled in Fram.; married<br />

his cousin, MEHITABEL, daughter <strong>of</strong> Moses 1<br />

, 30 Nov. 1721.<br />

He had, by her, MEHITABEL, 29 Sept. 1722; ANNE, 1 April, 1725;<br />

SAMUEL, 4 Aug. 1727; MARY, 14 April, 1730; MARTHA, 19 Feb.<br />

1733 ; JOHN, 2 June, 1735 ; SYBILLAH, 18<br />

April, 1738, who died<br />

young; DEBORAH, 11 Dec. 1740, who also died young; and SA-<br />

RAH, about 1742. (See p. 17.) He was on a com. to defend a title,<br />

and to defend a suit, in 1726; surveyor <strong>of</strong> highways, in 1732; se-<br />

and on a corn., in same year, to defend Rev. Mr.<br />

lectman, in 1733 ;<br />

Swift's complaint at court. He, and his wife, joined <strong>the</strong> church,<br />

June 9, 1723. He was a justice <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> peace as soon as 1756 ;<br />

died 27 Feb. 1776, aged 78. His will is on file. In it, he liberates<br />

a slave, and orders plain gold rings to be made, with his name en-<br />

graved, for each <strong>of</strong> his grand children, being about 40. His wife<br />

died 25 Jan. 1780, aged 78. which agrees with her birth at <strong>Lynn</strong>.<br />

Both have tomb-stones in Fram, <strong>The</strong>y lived near where Joel<br />

Coolidge lived, and lately died.<br />

HANNAH HAVEN 2<br />

, sister <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> above, married BENJAMIN<br />

BURNETT <strong>of</strong> Harvard. <strong>The</strong>y lived in Hop., and had JOHN,<br />

MEHITABEL, HANNAH, SARAH and Lois. Mehitabel married a<br />

GOODELL, and lived in New-Braintree. <strong>The</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r three married<br />

late in life, and left no children. A letter, from Mrs. Sears, says,
