married HANNAH NIXON, daughter <strong>of</strong> Col. Thomas N. <strong>of</strong> Fram.,<br />

and has brought up a large family in Southboro' ; MITTY, 21 Jan.<br />

1771; DANIEL, 15 Dec. 1772; SARAH, 1 Jan. 1775; LABAN<br />

WHEATON, 30 March, 1777; ALPHEUS, 11 Dec. 1780; and PATTY,<br />

12 Dec. 1782. Several <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se settled, and had families at<br />

Whitestown, N. Y.<br />

, married Col. JAMES METCALF <strong>of</strong> Wrentham, now<br />

Franklin, 3 Jan. 1754, who was Deacon <strong>of</strong> Dr. Emmons' Church.<br />

<strong>The</strong>y had BILLY, JAMES, JERUSHA, JULITTA, and ABIJAH. BILLY,<br />

died in Aug. 1842, aged 87, having had his name changed to<br />

WILLIAM HAVEN METCALF. He left a son, William, and four<br />

daughters. <strong>The</strong> son is a farmer in Franklin. JAMES was born in<br />

1758; JERUSHA, married Capt. NATHAN WIGHT, son <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> clergyman<br />

<strong>of</strong> Bellingham, and had three sons and two daughters.<br />

She died some 25 years ago, and her husband, several years after.<br />

<strong>The</strong>y lived many years in South Brimfield JULITTA mar-<br />

ried Capt. ASA FAIRBANKS, and died 8 Oct. 1843, aged 81. He<br />

died at <strong>the</strong> age <strong>of</strong> 40. <strong>The</strong>y had a son Asa, now a merchant in<br />

Providence, and four daughters, one <strong>of</strong> whom married Willis<br />

Fisher, Esq., who lives on <strong>the</strong> farm owned by her fa<strong>the</strong>r in<br />

Franklin. ABIJAH married, and settled on <strong>the</strong> paternal farm, but<br />

removed to Charlton, where he was a Deacon many years. He<br />

is living in Sturbridge, aged about 70. <strong>The</strong> only<br />

child is a<br />

, sister <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> above, married DAN-<br />

IEL WHITING <strong>of</strong> Dover, who was a Col. during <strong>the</strong> whole war.<br />

<strong>The</strong>y had 1. PAUL. 2. ROGER. 3. MEHITABEL, who married<br />

ARTEMAS WOODARD <strong>of</strong> Medfield, and left no children. 4. FANNY,<br />

who married JEREMIAH BAKER <strong>of</strong> Dedham, and had <strong>The</strong>odore, a<br />

merchant in New-Bedford, Caroline and Roxanna. 5. ANNA,<br />

who married EBENEZER NEWELL <strong>of</strong> Dover, and had several sons<br />

and daughters. One <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m was <strong>the</strong> Rev. William W. Newell,<br />

late <strong>of</strong> East Boston, who graduated at Yale Col. in 1830.<br />

ASA HAVEN3, bro<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> above, married EUNICE AL-<br />

DIS <strong>of</strong> Franklin, 3 Dec. 1767. <strong>The</strong>y had MEHITABEL, 7 Sept.<br />

1768, who married PAUL SAWYER <strong>of</strong> Boston, and died soon after
