He was <strong>the</strong> successor <strong>of</strong> his fa<strong>the</strong>r, as Deacon, for many years,<br />

and died 29 March, '78, aged 83. (See tomb-stones in Pram.)<br />

will, as " MARY WARD ;" which is all that I have learned <strong>of</strong><br />

JOHN, 22 May, '30; BENJAMIN, 26 Oct. '32; MOSES in '34; SA-<br />

RAH, REBECCA, SILAS, JONATHAN and SOLOMON; <strong>the</strong> two last settled<br />

in Rutland. <strong>The</strong> first, RALPH, married LYDIA TROWBRIDGE<br />

<strong>of</strong> Fram., 7 Jan. '52, and had Abijah, John and William <strong>the</strong> first<br />

left two sons Abijah and Martin, both having families. (See p. 25.)<br />

DANIEL HAVEN 2<br />

, bro<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> above, had a wife, MEHIT-<br />

ABEL. <strong>The</strong>y settled in Fram., where she died. He removed to<br />

Dover, Mass., aged 73, and died <strong>the</strong>re, aged about 80. <strong>The</strong>y had<br />

ABIAL, 1 July, 1732 ; MEHITABEL, 8 Aug. '34 ; EBENEZER, 15 Apl.<br />

'37, who went to <strong>the</strong> South, young, and never returned; DANIEL,<br />

15 July, '39, who married an ELLIS <strong>of</strong> Dedham, and died young,<br />

without children ; ASA, 27 May, '42, and NATHAN, 7 May, '45,<br />

who settled in what is now Sandisfield, Mass., and had a son, and<br />

seven daughters. (See p. 26; see also next below.)<br />

child ABIAL, for her deceased mo<strong>the</strong>r, whom she might well remember,<br />

as she was in her sixth year when her fa<strong>the</strong>r married his<br />

second wife. <strong>The</strong>y were nearly <strong>of</strong> an age, he being <strong>the</strong> youngest<br />

child <strong>of</strong> Moses 1<br />

he died in July, '84, aged 68. He was Deacon <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> first church<br />

in Sutton. He married his 2d cousin, SUSANNA TOWN, daugh-<br />

, daughter <strong>of</strong> Moses <strong>Haven</strong> , by whom he had elev-<br />

en children, viz; 1. TIMOTHY, 22 Nov. 1740, who died, aged 14.<br />

2. RUTH, 21 Nov. '42, who married BARTHOLOMEW HUTCHINSON <strong>of</strong><br />

Sutton, and died 5 Sept. '96, leaving six sons, and four daughters,<br />

who are in Mass. Maine, and Vt. 3. Lois, 29 May, '45. (See p. 27J<br />

4. SUSANNA, 31 July, '47, who removed from Sutton to Oxford in<br />

1838, where she died, unmarried. 5. MARY, 16 Feb. '50, who lived<br />

with her sister Susanna, in Sutton, and died, unmarried, 25 July,<br />

1834. <strong>The</strong> above five were born at Fram.; <strong>the</strong> six following at<br />

Sutton. 6. THADDEUS, about '53, died in infancy. 7. LYDIA, 8 June,<br />

'55, who married Gen. BENJ. HovEY<strong>of</strong> Oxford, Mass., afterwards<br />

<strong>of</strong> Oxford, N. Y., where she died in March, 1827. Her children<br />
