Univ. 1833), a Bap. missionary in <strong>the</strong> Birman Empire ; also<br />

Sarah L., Emma L., and Calvin. 9. LUTHER, now at Waltham,<br />

married LYDIA BACON, daughter <strong>of</strong> Capt. David Bacon, <strong>of</strong><br />

Natick, and had Rebecca, who married Asahel Allen, <strong>of</strong> Lancas-<br />

ter, N. H. ; Sarah L., who married Wm. Benjamin, <strong>of</strong> Boston,<br />

and had Charles Henry, whose name has been changed from<br />

Benjamin to <strong>Haven</strong> She next married Eliab ; Leach, <strong>of</strong> Boston,<br />

and has Sarah Elizabeth, and Abby Louisa ; Edith, who married<br />

Anthony L. Sawyer, <strong>of</strong> Lancaster, Mass. also ; David, <strong>of</strong> Waltham,<br />

and Lu<strong>the</strong>r, <strong>of</strong> Boston, both lately married and two o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

daughters, namely, Abigail and Maria.<br />

Hoi. He married MARY BOLLARD <strong>of</strong> that place, by whom<br />

he had MARY, 5 Dec. 1732, who died 1 Oct. 1809. SHE marrried<br />

JOHN STONE, Esq., <strong>of</strong> Hoi., and had Sarah, now <strong>the</strong> widow <strong>of</strong><br />

John Bent <strong>of</strong> Fram. By him she had John, deceased ; Martha,<br />

<strong>the</strong> widow <strong>of</strong> Isaac Dench and ; Sally, <strong>the</strong> widow <strong>of</strong> Capt. John<br />

Hemenway, both living in Frarn., having had children. ZERUIAH,<br />

18 Feb., 1736 married AARON PHIPPS <strong>of</strong> ;<br />

Hoi., and died 8 Dec.,<br />

1780, leaving Sam' I, Aaron, John, Moses, Joseph, Wm. (Dea.), and<br />

Anna, who married Col. Abner Perry. ANNA, 12 Oct. 1737,<br />

died 30 Dec. 1753. JESSE, 3 March 1745, died 28 Dec. 1813.<br />

, bro<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> above, joined<br />

in Hop. in 1738, a*nd was chosen Deacon. He married MIRIAM<br />

BAYLEY 29 Dec. 1737, by whom he had ELIAS, 28 Oct. 1738,<br />

who died 12 Jan. 1742 ; ELIAS, 18 June 1742; LYDIA, 25 Aug.<br />

1744; JOSEPH, 14 May 1747; NOAH, 17 June 1749; OBADIAH,<br />

24 July 1751; JOHN, 18 June 1753. (See p. 41.) He married<br />

Mrs. REBECCA CHICKERING, <strong>of</strong> Dedham, 2 March 1757.<br />

His first wife died 12 Oct. 1755. He was Selectman, Assessor,<br />

and Treasurer, in Hop. He removed to Dedham (now Dover)<br />

with his young family, where he was again chosen Deacon, and<br />

remained <strong>the</strong>re till his death.<br />

ELIAS HAVEN3 , bro<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> above (Har. Univ. 1733),<br />

was dismissed from <strong>the</strong> church in Hop. 29 Oct. 1738, " to be a<br />

minister in Wreritham," now Franklin. He married MARY<br />

(MESSENGER ?) by whom he had THOMAS, (Har. Univ. 1765),<br />

ELIAS, WILLIAM, and MARY. <strong>The</strong> mo<strong>the</strong>r was a widow in June,<br />

1756, and made a will, in which she names her four children, and<br />

her bro<strong>the</strong>r Daniel Messenger.<br />

THOMAS married ANNA BIGLOW,<br />

<strong>of</strong> Weston, a sister <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> late Abraham B., Esq. <strong>of</strong> Cambridge.
