WILLIS-Hazel M. Dulaney, 81, died Friday, <strong>August</strong> 27, <strong>1999</strong> at New River Valley Medical Center. She was<br />

predeceased by her husband, Dennis D. Dulaney, Sr. Surviv<strong>in</strong>g are: two sons, Dale Dulaney and Jerry Dulaney,<br />

both of Christiansburg, two daughters and <strong>the</strong>ir husbands, Betty and Merrill Reed of Marion, Mabel and Rodger<br />

Smith of Alum Ridge; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; bro<strong>the</strong>r, Billy McGurie of Radford; three<br />

sisters, Lucille Mabry of Spartenburg, SC, Edna Warden of Radford and Ivy Atk<strong>in</strong>s of Pulaski. Funeral services<br />

were held Sunday at 3 p.m. with Reverend Roy Turp<strong>in</strong> officiat<strong>in</strong>g. Interment was <strong>in</strong> Pleasant Valley Church<br />

Cemetery.<br />

ALLENE MARTIN HEDGE<br />

WYTHEVILLE-Allene Mart<strong>in</strong> Hedge, 81, died Thursday, September 2, <strong>1999</strong>, <strong>in</strong> Roanoke Community Hospital.<br />

She was born <strong>in</strong> Wy<strong>the</strong> County, <strong>the</strong> daughter of <strong>the</strong> late Raymond Wesley and Hazel Lee Armentrout Mart<strong>in</strong> and<br />

was a member of <strong>the</strong> Wy<strong>the</strong>ville Pentecostal Hol<strong>in</strong>ess Church. She was preceded <strong>in</strong> death by her husband Clyde<br />

Alexander Hedge, Sr., and a bro<strong>the</strong>r Ralph W. Mart<strong>in</strong>. She is survived by a daughter and son-<strong>in</strong>-law: Karen and<br />

Wayne Cl<strong>in</strong>e of Wy<strong>the</strong>ville; a son and daughter-<strong>in</strong>-law, Clyde Alexander, Jr., and Teresa Hedge of Floyd; ten<br />

grandchildren, Dewey Cl<strong>in</strong>e, Jr., Teresa Greenwood, Len Fagan, Chuck Hedge, Angela Cl<strong>in</strong>e, Just<strong>in</strong> Hedge,<br />

Mariekan Strachan, Crystal Holliday, Benjie Osborne and William Cl<strong>in</strong>e; ten great-grandchildren, Diana, J.C.,<br />

Shaunna, Caitlyn, David, Wyatt, Tyler, Lauren, Cole, and Anna; sisters-<strong>in</strong>-law, Stella Hedge Wagoner, Edna Hedge<br />

Keffer, Dorothy Hedge Kirby. Funeral services were Sunday, September 5 at 3:00 p.m. at <strong>the</strong> Wy<strong>the</strong>ville<br />

Pentecostal Hol<strong>in</strong>ess Church with <strong>the</strong> Reverend Charles McMillen, Reverend Edd Richardson and <strong>the</strong> Reverend<br />

Abe Handy officated. Entombment followed <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Rosewood Memorial Gardens <strong>in</strong> Rural Retreat. The family<br />

suggested that those who prefer make memorials to a charity of <strong>the</strong>ir choice. Barnett Funeral Home <strong>in</strong> Wy<strong>the</strong>ville<br />

handled arrangements.<br />

BULA KING KEITH<br />

FLOYD-Bula K<strong>in</strong>g Keith, age 88, passed away Wednesday, September 1, <strong>1999</strong> at Lewis-Gale Hospital. She was<br />

preceded <strong>in</strong> death by her husband, Kerry A. Keith, of 64 years. Survivors are: four daughters and sons-<strong>in</strong>-law, Iva<br />

Tolbert, Edna and Tap Weddle, Shirley and Ralph Duncan, Peggy K. Bishop, all of Floyd; three sons and<br />

daughters-<strong>in</strong>-law, Elmer and Delph<strong>in</strong>a Keith, Floyd, James and Doreda Keith, Christiansburg, Michael Keith,<br />

Newport News; one sister, Dorothy Lamb, Christiansburg; sister-<strong>in</strong>-law, Eula K<strong>in</strong>g, Danville, Edith Muncy, Floyd;<br />

23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 11:00 p.m.<br />

Friday, September 3, at Topeco Church of The Brethren with Reverend Reynold Simmons, Reverend Michael<br />

Varner and Reverend Ralph Duncan officiat<strong>in</strong>g. Burial <strong>in</strong> Topeco Cemetery. Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd,<br />

handled arrangements.<br />

ELLA MAE REED POFF<br />

SALEM-Ella Reed Poff, age 95, formerly of Floyd, passed away Monday September 6, <strong>1999</strong> <strong>in</strong> Richfield Nurs<strong>in</strong>g<br />

Center. She was preceded <strong>in</strong> death by her son Lloyd Poff of Salem. She is survived by: husband of 72 years, John<br />

Poff, Salem; daughter-<strong>in</strong>-law, Susie Sweeney Poff, Salem; two grandsons and spouses, Wesley and Lisa Poff,<br />

Danville, Doug and Glynna Poff, Oklahoma City, OK; one granddaughter and spouse, Betty and Tod Southworth,<br />

Nashville, TN; six great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael Poff, Danville, Laura and Brian Poff, Oklahoma City,<br />

OK, Derek and Summer Southworth, Nashville Tennessee. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at<br />

Pleasant Valley with Reverend Roy Turp<strong>in</strong> officiat<strong>in</strong>g. Interment will follow <strong>in</strong> Pleasant Valley Church Cemetery.<br />

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to <strong>the</strong> Pleasant Valley Build<strong>in</strong>g Fund, Floyd, VA.<br />
