FLOYD-Dempsey Woodrow DeHart, age 76, passed away Thursday, June 15,<br />

2000 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital <strong>in</strong> Lex<strong>in</strong>gton.<br />

Survivors are: bro<strong>the</strong>rs and sisters-<strong>in</strong>-law, Reverend L.V. and Ruth DeHart, Floyd,<br />

Arnold A. and Glenda DeHart, Bent Mounta<strong>in</strong>; sister and bro<strong>the</strong>r-<strong>in</strong>-law, Edith D.<br />

and Randall Knisely, Roanoke; several nieces and nephews.<br />

Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, at Greasy Creek<br />

Cemetery, Willis, with Elder Jo McGrady officiat<strong>in</strong>g. Maberry Funeral Home,<br />

Floyd, handled arrangements.<br />

PAULINE DEHART HARRIS<br />

WILLIS-Paul<strong>in</strong>e DeHart Harris, 77, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2000 at North<br />

Carol<strong>in</strong>a Baptist Hospital, W<strong>in</strong>ston-Salem, North Carol<strong>in</strong>a. She was preceded <strong>in</strong><br />

death by a son, Larry C. Harris and bro<strong>the</strong>r, Norman DeHart.<br />

Survivors <strong>in</strong>clude: her husband, Freeman Harris, Willis, son, Calv<strong>in</strong> L. Harris, Sr.,<br />

Willis; grandsons and spouses, Calv<strong>in</strong> L. Jr. and Michelle Harris, Mat<strong>the</strong>w S., and<br />

Amanda Harris, Willis, Mark B. Harris, Floyd; great-granddaughter, Cassidy<br />

Ela<strong>in</strong>e Harris, Willis; sister, Edna Harmon, Floyd; bro<strong>the</strong>rs and sisters-<strong>in</strong>-law,<br />

Caley and Janet DeHart, Sam and Mildred DeHart, Turner and Mabel DeHart,<br />

Floyd, Alfred and Naomi DeHart, Eden, North Carol<strong>in</strong>a.<br />

Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at <strong>the</strong> Maberry Funeral Home<br />

Chapel, Floyd with Ralph Duncan and Reverend Roy Turp<strong>in</strong> officiat<strong>in</strong>g. Burial<br />

followed <strong>in</strong> Topeco Cemetery.<br />

DOROTHY ANN BAILEY HUFF<br />

FLOYD-Dorothy Ann Bailey Huff, age 59, passed away Wednesday, June 14,<br />

2000, <strong>in</strong> New River Valley Medical Center. She was <strong>the</strong> widow of John Jack Huff<br />

and was predeceased by a son, Jerry David Huff. She is survived by: daughters,<br />

Julia Huff, Pamela Lewis, Barbara Huff, Kat<strong>in</strong>a Huff, Floyd; sons, John Wayne<br />

Huff, Billy Ray Huff, Floyd; bro<strong>the</strong>rs, Bishop George Elder Bailey, Hopk<strong>in</strong>sville,<br />

KY, J.T. Bailey, Detroit, MI; sisters, Julia Mae West, Leona Bailey, Lillian<br />

Wimberly, Frances Speights, Queenester Thorton, Hopk<strong>in</strong>sville, KY, L<strong>in</strong>da Level,<br />

Cl<strong>in</strong>ton, KY, Irene Greenwade, St. Paul MN, Betty Jo Warner, Atlanta, GA; 10<br />

grandchildren; one great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.<br />

Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at Maberry Funeral<br />

Home Chapel, Floyd, with Reverend Cl<strong>in</strong>ton Crump, Reverend Richard Spencer<br />

and Bishop George Bailey officiat<strong>in</strong>g. Burial <strong>in</strong> Little River Cemetery.<br />

ROANOKE-Laura Darlene Hurley L<strong>in</strong>k, 51, formerly of Floyd, passed away at her<br />

home Saturday June 17, 2000 after a long battle with A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig disease).<br />
