Park Mains High School, Erskine
We refer to our initial meeting of 12 February 2010 regarding a Planning Application for
a new secondary school with associated sports facilities for Park Mains High School,
Erskine, on the existing School site. Please find enclosed a location plan with red line
boundary illustrating extent of application site.
As the project is considered a Major Development, we write to formally advise our
intention to submit a Planning Application for the new Park Mains High School following
a 12 week (minimum) pre-application consultation process from the date of this letter.
The pre-application consultation process will include :
• A ‘public event’ will be held to allow interested parties to be consulted. This event
will be advertised within the local press no less than one week before the event is
due to take place
• Consultation with various stakeholders as outlined in the enclosed Communication
Strategy prepared by Park Mains High School.
• Meetings with Planning and Roads Departments, as well as any other statutory
bodies suggested by Planning.
A pre-application consultation report (PAC) will be prepared and submitted with the
Planning Application. The PAC will outline the consultation undertaken and the
outcome.
