Justification:<br />

Operational forces, facilities, <strong>and</strong> equipment must be decontaminated to safely operate, survive, <strong>and</strong> sustain operations in a nuclear, biological, <strong>and</strong> chemical agent threat environment. Key factors are reduced<br />

weight, increased transportability, decreased labor intensity, reduced water usage, <strong>and</strong> a more effective system for applying decontaminating solutions to vehicle <strong>and</strong> equipment surfaces. Decontamination <strong>of</strong><br />

facilities frequently requires a large area to be covered, but weight, water usage, <strong>and</strong> labor intensity factors may not be as important as mobility <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> ability to decontaminate large areas rapidly.<br />
