The software option “Technology<br />
software” in the basic unit is<br />
released for use by means of a<br />
PIN number.<br />
If the converter is ordered with<br />
the appropriate short code, it<br />
will be supplied with the software<br />
option enabled. The PIN<br />
number is supplied with the unit.<br />
If this option is ordered subsequently,<br />
the PIN number will be<br />
sent to the customer who must<br />
enable the option as described<br />

Technology controller<br />
The technology controller can<br />
be used for higher-level closedloop<br />
controls, such as,tension,<br />
position or pressure controllers.<br />
The output can be wired as required<br />
and can act, for example,as<br />
a main setpoint,<br />
additional setpoint or current<br />
limit.<br />
The technology controller is a<br />
PID controller with separate settings<br />
for the closed-loop control<br />
characteristics. A droop setting<br />
is also available.<br />
Connector numbers can be entered<br />
freely to select the source<br />
for setpoint and actual value.<br />
A filter (PT1 element) can be<br />
parameterized at the setpoint<br />
and actual value inputs.<br />
The technology controller output<br />
can be limited by mutually<br />
independent, positive and negative<br />
values, which can be parameterized<br />
or input via freely<br />
selectable connectors. The output<br />
signal can be weighted multiplicatively<br />
(parameterized or<br />
via connector signal) after the<br />
limiting stage.
