Federal Supervisory<br />

Agencies<br />

Below are the addresses and telephone<br />

numbers for:<br />

• submitting data,<br />

• inquiring about technical aspects of<br />

data submission, and<br />

• seeking guidance about compliance<br />

with <strong>HMDA</strong> (see pages G-2 through<br />

G-5).<br />

Submission of Data<br />

You are strongly encouraged <strong>to</strong> submit<br />

your loan/application register as a valid<br />

encrypted file (hmdaencr.enc) via<br />

Internet e-mail. If you elect <strong>to</strong> use this<br />

method of transmission and your institution<br />

is regulated by the Office of the<br />

Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal<br />

Deposit Insurance Corporation, the<br />

National Credit Union Administration,<br />

the Office of Thrift Supervision, or the<br />

Department of Housing and Urban<br />

Development, then you should submit<br />

your institution’s files <strong>to</strong> the Internet<br />

e-mail address dedicated <strong>to</strong> that purpose<br />

by the Federal Reserve Board,<br />

which can be found on the web site of<br />

the FFIEC.<br />

If your institution is regulated by one of<br />

the foregoing agencies and you elect <strong>to</strong><br />

submit your data by regular mail, then<br />
