Στο Alles Claap vol. 1 , το πρώτο compilation που κυκλοφορεί η Claap Recordings,
βρίσκουμε 8 αγαπημένα tracks της Claap σε remixes από αγαπημένα
ονόματα όπως Jerome Sydenham, Jimpster, D’Julz, Santonio Echols, Manoo,
Oskar Offermann και μαζί τους ένα νέο κομμάτι από τον ιδιοκτήτη της εταιρείας,
GummiHz, με τίτλο ‘Intensity’.
Το αποτέλεσμα, αν μη τι άλλο εκπληκτικό, δείχνει το παρελθόν, το παρόν και το
–αναμφίβολα λαμπρό- μέλλον του label. Προσωπικές «αδυναμίες» από το compilation,
τα κομμάτια ‘Quick Dance’ και ‘Real People’.
Tο Quick Dance, μια παράγωγη του John Dimas σε remix του Nikola Gala,
αιχμαλωτίζει το αυτί με το δυνατό του bass line και τα αναλογικά του drums,
χωρίς υπερβολικά fx και χωρίς κάποιο πολύπλοκο arrangement. Είναι, όπως
υποδηλώνει και ο τίτλος, ένα κομμάτι γραμμένο για dance floor.
Το Real People του Quell, σε remix εδώ από τον Jerome Sydenham, είναι ένα
κομμάτι με πολύ δυνατή ενέργεια και η απάντηση σε όσους απορούν με τον
τίτλο που έχει αποδοθεί στο Sydenham ως “Don of New York House” : Έντονο
groove, ασταματητα hi-hats και μια ροή που σε παρασύρει και σου επιβάλλει να
χορέψεις.
Θα κλείσω παραφράζοντας τον ορισμό του Gummihz για το καλό party...
«καταλαβαίνεις ότι μία συλλογή είναι καλή, όταν ακούγοντάς τη χάνεις την
έννοια του χρόνου»... Με αυτή την έννοια, η Alles Claap vol. 1 είναι μια πολύ
καλή συλλογή, φτιαγμένη για πολύ καλά parties...

The new edition of Late Night Tales journeys to Scandinavia to invite Norwegian
duo Röyksopp to delve through their record collection. Their Late Night
Tales mix is eclectic, diverse and
wonderful. Sliding from light folk to widescreen ambience to experimental
rock to progpop (seasoned with the occasional guilty pleasure); it’s all in the
spirit of the night.

Alles Claap vol. 1, the first compilation by Claap Recordings, features 8 tracks
remixed by artists we love, namely Jerome Sydenham, Jimpster, D’Julz, Santonio
Echols, Manoo, Oskar Offermann, as well as a brand new tune by the label
owner, GummiHz, titled ‘Intensity’.
The stunning result points out the past, present and the –undoubtedly brilliant-
future of the label. Personal favorites, the tracks ‘Quick Dance’ and ‘Real
People’.
‘Quick Dance’, produced by John Dimas and remixed by Nikola Gala, lacking
the need for exagerrated fx and dandified arrangements, will captivate your
ears with its strong bassline and analog drums. Worthy of its title, it is a track
meant to stir up the dance floors.
Quell’s ‘Real People’, remixed by Jerome Sydenham, is a track with smashing
energy, that explains why Jerome is considered by many the “Don of New York
House”: Intense groove, unceasing hi-hats and a flow that carries you away and
necessitates dancing.
Rephrasing GummiHz’s definition of a good party, I ‘d say that “A good compilation
is that which makes you lose track of time”... In that sense, Alles Claap vol.
1 is a VERY good compilation, destined for VERY good parties...
