one Bible, Koran or other religious material for your own personal<br />

■ Do not take ashtrays, towels, menus, glasses, or other mementos<br />

from hotels or restaurants.<br />

■ Do not accept packages, letters, etc., from local citizens for delivery<br />

to the U.S.<br />

■ Do not make political comments or engage in political activity.<br />

■ Do not be lured into clandestine meetings with would-be informants<br />

or defectors.<br />

■ Be careful about taking pictures. In some countries it is unwise to<br />

take photographs of scenes that could be used to make unfavorable<br />

comparisons between U.S. and Latin standards of living or other cultural<br />

differences. Avoid taking any photographs from moving buses,<br />

trains, or aircraft.<br />

The following picture subjects are clearly prohibited in most countries<br />

where an intelligence or terrorist/insurgent threat is evident:<br />

❏ Bridges<br />

❏ Fortifications<br />

❏ Railroad facilities<br />

❏ Tunnels<br />

❏ Elevated trains<br />

❏ Border areas<br />

❏ Industrial complexes<br />

❏ Port complexes<br />

❏ Airports<br />
