The <strong>Sunflower</strong> Army Ammunition <strong>Plan</strong>t is located on 9,065 acres in rural northwestern Johnson County, Kansas. It is approximately 3<br />
miles southwest of DeSoto, Kansas and 28 miles southwest of Kansas City. It is roughly rectangular and about 6 miles long by 3 miles<br />
wide, with the long axis oriented in a north-south direction.<br />
