STATEMENT OF PURPOSE The purpose of the Installation Action Plan (IAP) is to outline the total multi-year Installation Restoration Program (IRP) for Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant (SFAAP). The plan will define all IRP requirements and propose a comprehensive approach and associated costs to conduct future investigations and remedial actions at each IRP site at the installation. In an effort to document planning information for the IRP manager, major army commands (MACOMs), installations, executing agencies, regulatory agencies, and the public, an IAP has been completed for SFAAP. The IAP is used to track requirements, schedules, and tentative budgets for all major Army installation restoration programs. All site specific funding and schedule information has been prepared according to projected overall Army funding levels and is therefore subject to change. The goal is to have all remedies in place at SFAAP by the end of 2014. Long term monitoring and remedial action operations will be conducted beyond 2014, if necessary.
