Contractual relationship with the holder of the rights to the event<br />
• Rights attribution contract signed in October 2002, when the Universiade was<br />
awarded to Innsbruck/Seefeld.<br />
Budget<br />
• The rights to the receipts from the event were ceded, free-of-charge, to the<br />
Universiade Organisation Committee. Merchandising costs were only just<br />
covered by receipts and the tickets for the events were free. Subsidies totalling<br />
6,500,000 were provided by the four public bodies involved in the project.<br />
Fifty private partners and four semi-public bodies also provided financial<br />
support for the <strong>org</strong>anisation of the event. The cost of large-scale facilities was<br />
not included in the budget.<br />
