This paper has discussed a varying range of examples which explore aesthetical
possibilities of how optical fibres can be integrated as an active part
into textile structures. The final models of Light Shell visualize experiments
in creating concepts of spaces for well being through the media light and textiles.
Besides that, all examples of light investigations lay a base for new design
technologies in weaving and knitting technology towards the integration of
optical fibres into textile structures.
