Congratulations <strong>to</strong> the Cast and Crew <strong>of</strong> THE MOUSE THAT ROARED<br />

Mr. Jack and h<strong>is</strong> students did a wonderful job for th<strong>is</strong> year’s Fall production! Student ac<strong>to</strong>rs and technicians<br />

worked hard, and had fun, putting on th<strong>is</strong> full-length comedy.<br />

Music<br />

Our Music Program performs <strong>through</strong>out the year at different venues and events. Th<strong>is</strong> year the choir, wind<br />

ensemble, jazz ensembles, and concert bands have attended a music festival and performed for us in the<br />

theatre and at the Rosza Centre. Thanks for producing such beautiful music!<br />

Th<strong>is</strong> semester <strong>is</strong> the music program’s busiest time <strong>of</strong> the year, and the hard work, skill, talent, and dedication <strong>of</strong><br />

the students comes <strong>to</strong>gether for final performances.<br />

As publ<strong>is</strong>hed in the Student Handbook, newsletters may be found on our web site. We would encourage you <strong>to</strong><br />

familiarize yourself with our web site where you will find many important <strong>is</strong>sues and calendars. A limited number <strong>of</strong><br />

copies <strong>of</strong> the newsletter are available in the main <strong>of</strong>fice.<br />

WINDS FROM THE SOUTH CONCERT – <strong>The</strong> annual Winds from the South Concert was held at the<br />

Jack Singer Concert Hall on Monday, March 3 rd . Th<strong>is</strong> year, the <strong>Scarlett</strong> Wind Ensemble, Concert Band,<br />

Symphonic Band and Chamber Choir shared the stage with Nickle, Robert Warren, Fairview, Woodman, and John<br />

Ware Junior <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong>. <strong>The</strong> evening provided an opportunity for students <strong>to</strong> play in a world class concert hall<br />

in addition <strong>to</strong> providing future <strong>Scarlett</strong> Lancers a chance <strong>to</strong> see what <strong>Scarlett</strong> Music has <strong>to</strong> <strong>of</strong>fer. Hats <strong>of</strong>f <strong>to</strong><br />

all involved on a job well done!<br />

2008 ALBERTA INTERNATIONAL BAND FESTIVAL (<strong>to</strong>ok place at both the University <strong>of</strong> Calgary and<br />

Mount Royal College. Great results<br />

MOONLIGHT KNIGHTS – Friday, April 18 th at 6:00 pm in <strong>Scarlett</strong>’s Main Gym. Th<strong>is</strong> <strong>is</strong> a dinner, dancing,<br />

and silent auction event for the family! Tickets will be sold in advance.<br />

YEAR END CONCERT – Wednesday, May 21 st at 7:00 - 9:00 pm at University <strong>of</strong> Calgary <strong>The</strong>atre. Contact<br />
