AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL<br />
<strong>Scarlett</strong>’s Amnesty International Multi Issues Club has been challenged by Mr. Lederer’s AP classes <strong>to</strong> ra<strong>is</strong>e<br />
much needed food for the Interfaith Food Bank. <strong>The</strong> “Beat the Geeks” food drive will be held from March 10 th<br />
until the 14 th . We ask that students bring in money rather than cans as th<strong>is</strong> <strong>is</strong> less cumbersome <strong>to</strong> handle, and<br />
staff at the food bank know what food items <strong>to</strong> purchase.<br />
PHYS.ED. 30 & PHYS.ED 20<br />
Grade 12’s P.E.30 – the date for our camping trip <strong>is</strong> May 28 after school <strong>to</strong> Friday, May 30. Mark the dates in<br />
your calendar. It <strong>is</strong> the highlight <strong>of</strong> our P.E.30 year. Now <strong>is</strong> a good time <strong>to</strong> start looking <strong>to</strong> borrow the basic<br />
for camping. Backpacks, tents and sleeping bags are a must. Students will be expected <strong>to</strong> provide their own<br />
gear so they will have <strong>to</strong> rent, if they can’t borrow. <strong>The</strong>re will be a compulsory parents meeting on May 21 st at<br />
6:00 in the main gym.<br />
Free Fitness Training – <strong>The</strong> fitness centre has just received 5 new aerobic fitness machines. <strong>The</strong> centre <strong>is</strong><br />
open Monday – Thursday 4:00 – 5:30 pm for any student <strong>to</strong> work out. <strong>The</strong>re <strong>is</strong> no cost, all they must do <strong>is</strong> come<br />
<strong>to</strong> the P.E. <strong>of</strong>fice and sign a membership sheet and they can get started.<br />
