Personal Cheques<br />
<strong>The</strong> transition <strong>to</strong> “image friendly” cheques in Canada <strong>is</strong> underway. Please make sure you are updating your<br />
cheques <strong>to</strong> the new format. Cheques must have the date field printed under the date <strong>to</strong> show the format that<br />
has been used (e.g. YY MM DD; MM DD YY; DD MM YY). <strong>The</strong>y must also have a verification phrase printed on<br />
a specified location on the back <strong>of</strong> the cheque; the phrase will act as a reference point that financial<br />
institutions can use <strong>to</strong> confirm that a good image <strong>of</strong> the back <strong>of</strong> the cheque has been captured.<br />
As <strong>of</strong> July 1, 2008, we will not be able <strong>to</strong> accept personal or business cheques if they do not have the new<br />
format. We <strong>of</strong>fer payment by debit, V<strong>is</strong>a, Mastercard, cash or money orders.<br />

<strong>The</strong> season <strong>is</strong> well underway and the team has been determined. <strong>The</strong> Lancers will be represented by a strong<br />

6:50 a.m. Monday – Thursday and Friday after school. <strong>The</strong> city championship meet runs Wednesday, March 19 th<br />
at the Tal<strong>is</strong>man Center. <strong>The</strong> Lancers have a City Championship Title <strong>to</strong> defend. Come out and support th<strong>is</strong> team!<br />
