These pump heads provide gentle pumping action and are suitable for<br />
many applications, including cell suspensions.<br />
The model Pro-280 pump head is gentle enough <strong>to</strong> use for highly<br />
viscous liquids with concentrated viable cells. Comparisons <strong>to</strong> gear,<br />
pis<strong>to</strong>n and centrifugal pumps proved that peristaltic pumps are <strong>the</strong><br />
only suitable and sterilizable pump system for gently pumping media<br />
containing living cells.<br />
