Created with a unique combination of long flex life and<br />

biocompatibility, PharMed ® Tubing is ideal for life science<br />

applications employing peristaltic pumps. PharMed ® Tubing is less<br />

permeable <strong>to</strong> gases and vapors than silicone tubing. It is ideal for cell<br />

culture, fermentation, syn<strong>the</strong>sis, separation, purification and process<br />

moni<strong>to</strong>ring and control. Independent tests show that PharMed ®<br />

Tubing is safe for use in sensitive cell culture applications. It has very<br />

good general chemical resistance and excellent acid, alkali and<br />

oxidation resistance. Opaque <strong>to</strong> visible and UV light, it helps protect<br />

sensitive fluids. Continuous service temperature range is -60°F<br />

(-51°C) <strong>to</strong> 275°F (135°C). Durometer hardness: Shore A, 64.*<br />

ISO 10993 standard.<br />

Tygon ® Medical/Surgical Tubing can be sterilized by radiation, ethylene<br />

oxide, steam or chemical methods. Durometer hardness: Shore A, 66.*<br />
