Graystar First Addition Engineering Services Agreement

Summary
Graystar Corporation has petitioned the City for Street, Storm Sewer, Water, and Sanitary
Sewer Improvements to an area containing 14 lots in the Graystar First Addition. Ruder
Engineering and Surveying, L.L.C. has prepared a contract for engineering services to
include engineering design, contractor solicitation, construction engineering, and
warranty inspection. The contract is for a not-to-exceed amount of $76,900. Staff
recommends that the commission authorize the Mayor to sign the Engineering Services
Agreement with Ruder Engineering & Surveying, LLC for professional services related
to improvements in the Graystar First Addition in an amount not to exceed $76,900.
Background
The final plat for Graystar First Addition was approved at the April 22, 2010 City
Commission meeting. The developer wishes to proceed with design for potential construction
during the 2010/2011 winter season.
Discussion
Graystar Corporation has petitioned the City for Street, Storm Sewer, Water, and Sanitary
Sewer Improvements to an area containing 14 lots in the Graystar First Addition. The
Developer will pay 30% of the costs for the construction with the remaining portion (70%) to
be assessed to Lots 1-14 of the Graystar First Addition and two adjoining lots in the Westridge
Addition. A resolution authorizing such improvements will be presented at the November 4,
2010 work session.

include engineering design, contractor solicitation, construction engineering, and warranty
inspection. The contract is for a not-to-exceed amount of $76,900.
