1,2-Cyclohexylidenedioxy-4-vinyl-decan-3-ol 79 : As described before, the reactions<br />

between 1 and 78a or 78b were carried out using bi-metal system or Zn dust. For the Znmediated<br />

reaction, aqueous saturated NH 4 Cl was used for the activation of Zn. After the<br />

work up, the crude product, in each case was subjected to column chromatography (silica<br />

gel, 0-20 % EtOAc/Hexane) to isolate pure 79a, 79b and 79c sequentially.<br />
