Multimedia retrieval—To receive multimedia messages<br />
only when you are in your home network, select Auto in<br />
home netw.. To always receive multimedia messages,<br />
select Always automatic. To retrieve messages manually,<br />
select Manual. To not receive any multimedia messages or<br />
advertisements, select Off.<br />
Allow anon. msgs.—To reject messages coming from an<br />
anonymous sender, select No.<br />
Receive adverts—Define whether you want to allow<br />
reception of multimedia message advertisements.<br />
Receive report—If you want the status of the sent message<br />
(Pending, Failed, or Delivered) to be shown in Reports,<br />
select Yes.<br />
Deny report sending > Yes—To deny sending delivery<br />
reports.<br />
Message validity (network service)—If the recipient of a<br />
message cannot be reached within the validity period, the<br />
message is removed from the multimedia message center.<br />
Maximum time is the maximum amount of time allowed<br />
by the network for which the message remains valid.<br />
E-mail settings<br />
Before you use e-mail, you must configure an internet<br />
access point (IAP) and define your e-mail settings<br />
Messaging<br />
correctly. Follow the instructions given by your e-mail<br />
service provider and internet service provider.<br />
Select Menu > Messaging > Options > Settings ><br />
E-mail > Mailboxes and a mailbox. If no mailbox settings<br />
have been defined, you are asked if you want to define the<br />
settings.<br />
Select from the following:<br />
Connection settings—To define the correct Incoming<br />
e-mail and Outgoing e-mail settings, contact your e-mail<br />
service provider for the settings.<br />
User settings—To define settings for sending your e-mails<br />
and set the phone to alert when receiving a new e-mail.<br />
Retrieval settings—To define settings for retrieving e-mail<br />
messages, such as retrieving only message headers,<br />
the number of messages to retrieve.<br />
Automatic retrieval—To define whether to automatically<br />
retrieve the headings to your device when you receive new<br />
e-mail in your remote mailbox, or to have e-mail headers<br />
automatically retrieved at set intervals (days, times, and<br />
frequency).<br />
