The addition of a third lane on the northbound carriageway of the A46
Kenilworth Bypass south of Stivichall Junction, requiring a widening of
a 200m length of the A46 Kenilworth Bypass northbound approach to
Stivichall junction;
Construction of a new footbridge over the River Sowe to
accommodate the repositioning of the combined footway / cycleway
as a result of carriageway widening works;
Construction of stormwater wetlands and a bioretention area; and,
The proposals would also include noise fencing, landscaping and
improved drainage measures to minimise the effects on the
surrounding area.
1.3 Study Area
1.3.0.1 The Study Area for this Assessment includes community facilities and nonmotorised
routes of importance or significance within a 500m radius around
the Scheme. The areas of Willenhall, north of Tollbar End roundabout and
Finham and Stivichall, to the west of Stivichall Junction, are within the
Study Area for the Scheme. The Study Area is shown on Figure 12.1.
