being dispersed across sectors are mainly drawn from org<strong>an</strong>ic <strong>an</strong>d inorg<strong>an</strong>ic chemicals,<br />

cotton, nuclear reactors <strong>an</strong>d articles of apparel knit/crocheted <strong>an</strong>d not knit/crocheted.<br />

Again, there are some sectors where China is comparatively disadv<strong>an</strong>tageously<br />

positioned but simult<strong>an</strong>eously reveals signific<strong>an</strong>t comparative adv<strong>an</strong>tage at the<br />

constituent commodity (HS-six digit) level. China is comparatively disadv<strong>an</strong>tageously<br />

placed in 50 sectors out of the total 97 sectors. Of these 50 sectors, China is<br />

comparatively adv<strong>an</strong>tageously placed in 42 sectors at the commodity level. There are 13<br />

commodities that r<strong>an</strong>k among the highest top 100 <strong>for</strong> the RCAI <strong>an</strong>d belong to sectors<br />

where China does not enjoy comparative adv<strong>an</strong>tage in the world market. Of course, the<br />

number of commodities with a relative adv<strong>an</strong>tage in these sectors is fewer th<strong>an</strong> the<br />

number of commodities where India has a relative disadv<strong>an</strong>tage<br />
