WORKING GROUP (TWLWG)<br />
Jeju Island, Republic of Korea, 5-7 April<br />
The 3 rd meeting of the TWLWG was held at the Hanwa Resort, Jeju Island, Republic of Korea, from 5 to<br />
7 April. Representatives from Australia, Canada, Chile, Finland, France, Japan, Norway, Peru, Republic<br />
of Korea, South Africa, UK, and the IHB attended the meeting. Lieutenant Commander SHIPMAN<br />
represented the IOC-GLOSS Group of Experts.<br />
Mr. Ok-Soo KIM, Director of the Oceanographic Division of KHOA, welcomed all participants to the<br />
island of Jeju.<br />
Topics discussed included: a standard for digital tide tables; the dynamic application of tides in ECDIS; a<br />
standard for the transmission of real-time tidal data; a revised definition of Mean Sea Level and the<br />
revision of <strong>IHO</strong> resolutions on tides and water level topics.<br />

Element 2.13 ENC QUALITY – TECHNICAL SUPPORT<br />

PRIMAR/IC-ENC JTWG<br />
The Joint Technical Experts Working group (JTEWG) is a joint subsidiary of the Primar Stavanger<br />
Advisory Committee (PSAC) and the IC-ENC Steering Committee (IC-ENC SC). Its primary objective<br />
is to agree, develop and maintain common ENC technical and quality standards between the Regional<br />
ENC Coordination Centres (RENCs) for the delivery of high quality and consistent ENC services to<br />
mariners. The Working Group did not hold a formal meeting in <strong>2011</strong>, however there was an exchange of<br />
technical visits between members of the RENC <strong>organization</strong>s.<br />
