From the Chancellor<br />

Since 1976, <strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> has been<br />

educating students from around the world.<br />

The first truly international center of medical<br />

education, globalism has been at the core of our<br />

curriculum since the beginning. With the creation<br />

of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program,<br />

established in 1999 and accredited by the American<br />

Veterinary Medical Association Council on<br />

Education (AVMA COE) in 2011, and embracing the<br />

concept of One World, One Health, One Medicine,<br />

the <strong>University</strong> has had an opportunity to more<br />

deeply integrate this mission into our standards for<br />

academic excellence.<br />

<strong>St</strong>. George’s has always developed programs<br />

that look to the future of the world to meet<br />

rapidly developing needs. As we become more<br />

globally connected, the business of health care<br />

and a renewed commitment to the public health<br />

requires the training of veterinarians to meet<br />

these needs. <strong>St</strong>. George’s DVM students have the<br />

unique opportunity to become leaders in their<br />

chosen field and to stand out from their peers with<br />

the addition of an MBA or CEPH-accredited MPH<br />

degree to their DVM.<br />

The combination of our dual degree programs,<br />

along with a campus that boasts students and<br />

faculty from over 140 countries, has created an<br />

academic environment that leads to our graduates<br />

being better suited than most to meet the needs of<br />

a diverse patient population. <strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong><br />

veterinary graduates also apply the knowledge and<br />

skills learned here across a wide variety of veterinary<br />

medical fields. They run private practices, serve as<br />

head veterinarians at large zoos, teach veterinary<br />

medicine at prestigious universities, and work with<br />

their medicine counterparts on zoonotic diseases.<br />

<strong>St</strong>. George’s has a long history of academic<br />

success across its programs. We seek the best<br />

and brightest students who are dedicated to their<br />

chosen profession. Our campus is beautiful and<br />

we provide students with modern technology and<br />

learning resources to help them meet their goals.<br />
