To provide select students with different avenues for pursuing their<br />

academic career goals, <strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> has developed a<br />

number of academic affiliations with other institutions of higher<br />

learning. These affiliated programs are designed to expand the<br />

number of entry tracks into SGU’s professional programs and to<br />

broaden and enhance the educational experience. In addition,<br />

when the guidelines for continuation in the programs are met, they<br />

simultaneously serve to streamline the entry process into <strong>St</strong>. George’s<br />

<strong>University</strong> School of Veterinary Medicine.<br />

Combined BS/DVM Program<br />

Franklin Pierce <strong>University</strong> in Rindge, NH, has joined with <strong>St</strong>. George’s<br />

<strong>University</strong> to offer students an opportunity to obtain a BS/DVM degree.<br />

Qualified students are able to pursue a career in veterinary medicine<br />

at <strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> following successful completion of the<br />

preveterinary medical program at Franklin Pierce <strong>University</strong>.<br />

Applicants admitted to this combined degree program are granted<br />

a pathway from their undergraduate degree in biology or health<br />

sciences to a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. <strong>St</strong>udents<br />

admitted to the pathway program complete their undergraduate<br />

degree in biology or health sciences at Franklin Pierce in four years,<br />

and upon meeting established admission criteria progress into<br />

the four-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program at <strong>St</strong>.<br />

George’s <strong>University</strong>.<br />

Franklin Pierce <strong>University</strong> is a regionally accredited university<br />

grounded in the liberal arts, with a focus on personal attention and<br />

high-quality instruction. The <strong>University</strong> consists of the College at<br />

Rindge and the College of Graduate and Professional <strong>St</strong>udies with<br />

locations in Arizona and throughout New Hampshire.<br />
