Inside, you’ll find a relaxed but
attentive tasting room staff who
enjoys showing visitors the dramatic differences in taste and texture of
wines that come from different terroirs. You will definitely want to try
winemaker Mario Monticelli’s newly-released 2007 Haystack Vineyard
Cabernet Sauvignon. Robert M.
Parker, Jr., one of the world’s most
respected wine reviewers, rated this
wine with 93 points (out of 100),
high praise indeed. Another new
release, called Signature, is one of
two of the winery’s blended wines:
it is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon,
especially blended by Mario from
Trinchero Napa Valley vineyards.
(The other is Meritage.)
The tasting room is located at
3070 N. St. Helena Hwy. (Rte. 29).
It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5
p.m. and is wheelchair accessible. For guests who want to delve more
deeply into the character of the wines, daily seminars are available by
appointment, and include a tour of the state-of-the-art winemaking
