Journey – Celebrates its 20th Anniversary
New Friday Event Launched: Gateway to Passport – A First Class Experience
– Theme Parties, Music, Food, Tours, Barrel Tasting and Futures Offered
Passport to Dry Creek Valley is an annual event, sponsored by
the Winegrowers of Dry Creek Valley (WDCV), showcasing the
wineries, vineyards and exceptional beauty of Dry Creek Valley. This
year, Passport to Dry Creek Valley is celebrating its 20th anniversary
with the launch of a new event on Friday, April 23, called Gateway to
Passport – A First Class Experience.
The more than 60 wineries and 150 growers in the Dry Creek
Valley produce a variety of wines to please any palate; 46 wineries will
be offering first class weekend events along the Passport route! Join in
Passport weekend, as wineries up and down Dry Creek Valley celebrate
the magic of their valley with wine, food, entertainment and the
hospitality for which Dry Creek Valley is famous. Passport to Dry
Creek Valley sells out quickly every year.
Gateway to Passport – A First Class Experience
An elegant evening launched in honor of the 20th anniversary,
Gateway to Passport includes owners and winemakers of select Dry
Creek Valley wineries. Celebrity chef Charlie Palmer, of the famed Dry
Creek Kitchen and upscale Hotel Healdsburg, will create culinary
delights paired with small production Dry Creek Valley wines from
6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on April 23. Tickets are limited and are $150.
Theme Parties, Live Music, Sumptuous Foods –
All Paired with Dry Creek Valley Wines
Oysters, BBQ, sculpture gardens, bocce ball, tightrope walkers,
barrel samples, newly released wines and old-fashioned fun. All this
and more is part of the lively environment participating wineries create
for their traveling guests during Passport to Dry Creek Valley.
Nearly every winery features live entertainment, from belly dancers to
blues, jazz or ’50s rock and roll. Guests are certain to be carried away
by the festive atmosphere created at each winery. Saturday and Sunday
event tickets are $120, including tax, for a two-day Passport. Sundayonly
tickets are $70 including tax. A list of participating wineries can

Vineyard Tours – Each tour begins at 9:30am
Passport ticket holders are invited to walk the vineyards and experience
winegrowing in this distinct appellation. Select wineries are
opening their vineyards with special tours, discussions and tastings.
Because the number of participants is limited, Passports are sold
first-come, first0-served basis. This event consistently sells out and
tickets will not be available for long.
