New Friday Event Launched: Gateway to P<strong>as</strong>sport – A First Cl<strong>as</strong>s Experience<br />

– Theme Parties, Music, Food, Tours, Barrel T<strong>as</strong>ting and Futures Offered<br />

P<strong>as</strong>sport to Dry Creek Valley is an annual event, sponsored by<br />

the <strong>Wine</strong>growers of Dry Creek Valley (WDCV), showc<strong>as</strong>ing the<br />

wineries, vineyards and exceptional beauty of Dry Creek Valley. <strong>This</strong><br />

year, P<strong>as</strong>sport to Dry Creek Valley is celebrating its 20th anniversary<br />

with the launch of a new event on Friday, April 23, called Gateway to<br />

P<strong>as</strong>sport – A First Cl<strong>as</strong>s Experience.<br />

The more than 60 wineries and 150 growers in the Dry Creek<br />

Valley produce a variety of wines to ple<strong>as</strong>e any palate; 46 wineries will<br />

be offering first cl<strong>as</strong>s weekend events along the P<strong>as</strong>sport route! Join in<br />

P<strong>as</strong>sport weekend, <strong>as</strong> wineries up and down Dry Creek Valley celebrate<br />

the magic of their valley with wine, food, entertainment and the<br />

hospitality for which Dry Creek Valley is famous. P<strong>as</strong>sport to Dry<br />

Creek Valley sells out quickly every year.<br />

Gateway to P<strong>as</strong>sport – A First Cl<strong>as</strong>s Experience<br />

An elegant evening launched in honor of the 20th anniversary,<br />

Gateway to P<strong>as</strong>sport includes owners and winemakers of select Dry<br />

Creek Valley wineries. Celebrity chef Charlie Palmer, of the famed Dry<br />

Creek Kitchen and upscale Hotel Healdsburg, will create culinary<br />

delights paired with small production Dry Creek Valley wines from<br />

6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on April 23. Tickets are limited and are $150.<br />

Theme Parties, Live Music, Sumptuous Foods –<br />

All Paired with Dry Creek Valley <strong>Wine</strong>s<br />

Oysters, BBQ, sculpture gardens, bocce ball, tightrope walkers,<br />

barrel samples, newly rele<strong>as</strong>ed wines and old-f<strong>as</strong>hioned fun. All this<br />

and more is part of the lively environment participating wineries create<br />

for their traveling guests during P<strong>as</strong>sport to Dry Creek Valley.<br />

Nearly every winery features live entertainment, from belly dancers to<br />

blues, jazz or ’50s rock and roll. Guests are certain to be carried away<br />

by the festive atmosphere created at each winery. Saturday and Sunday<br />

event tickets are $120, including tax, for a two-day P<strong>as</strong>sport. Sundayonly<br />

tickets are $70 including tax. A list of participating wineries can<br />

Vineyard Tours – Each tour begins at 9:30am<br />

P<strong>as</strong>sport ticket holders are invited to walk the vineyards and experience<br />

winegrowing in this distinct appellation. Select wineries are<br />

opening their vineyards with special tours, discussions and t<strong>as</strong>tings.<br />

Because the number of participants is limited, P<strong>as</strong>sports are sold<br />

first-come, first0-served b<strong>as</strong>is. <strong>This</strong> event consistently sells out and<br />

tickets will not be available for long.<br />
