X. Saturday School: <strong>Student</strong>s may be assigned to Saturday School for various<br />

reasons.<br />

A. The student must get assignments from each teacher to work each<br />

Saturday he or she is assigned.<br />

B. <strong>Student</strong>s found sleeping during duty will be assigned another<br />

Saturday School.<br />

C. <strong>Student</strong>s who are tardy on an assigned Saturday will be assigned<br />

another Saturday School. If a student is tardy two Saturdays in a<br />

row, he/she will be suspended.<br />

D. Punishment for missing Saturday School is as follows:<br />

1. First Offense: 1 day out-of-school suspension<br />

2. Second Offense: 2 days out-of-school suspension<br />

3. Third Offense: And each subsequent offense will result in 3<br />

days out-of- school suspension.<br />

MULTIPLE OFFENSES<br />

If a student commits multiple violations of any provision of this policy as<br />

part of the same course of conduct, or violates multiple provisions of this policy<br />

as part of the same course of conduct, and if the policy provision or provisions<br />

violated include a maximum penalty of ten or more days out-of-school<br />

suspension, the maximum penalty for such multiple, or violations of multiple<br />

provisions may be expulsion.<br />

PERSISTENT OFFENDERS<br />

If any student who commits an offense under this policy with a maximum<br />

penalty of ten or more days out-of-school suspension has been suspended outof-school<br />

for any period during the previous six (6) months, disregarding<br />

semester breaks or periods between school years, then the maximum penalty<br />

for such offense may be increased to expulsion.<br />

UNLISTED OFFENSES<br />

Any act or behavior by a student for which a specific penalty is not listed<br />

and which constitutes conduct which is prejudicial to good order in the schools<br />

or which tends to impair the moral of students as described in Sections<br />

167.161, RSMo, shall be subject to punishment by out-of-school suspension of<br />

up to 180 days, or expulsion. Punishment and consequences may carry over<br />

from one year to the next.<br />

WEATHER INFORMATION<br />

At certain times due to weather conditions or other factors, it is advisable<br />

that school not be held. If such should occur, the information will be given on<br />

KOAM-TV, Channel 7, KSN-TV, Channel 16, and KODE-TV, Channel <strong>12</strong>, at<br />

the earliest possible time.<br />

FIRE DRILL<br />

At different times during the school year, the fire alarm is sounded. The<br />

alarm will be a continuous siren broadcasted by the fire alarm system. Each<br />

classroom is given a type-written instruction concerning what to do in case of<br />

fire.<br />
