Credit 5: Staff education.<br />
ACTIVITY:<br />
a) All applicable staff to complete equivalent of four hours of CEU approved course in green<br />
building on a bi-annual basis. (1 points)<br />
APPROACH:<br />
Several green building courses are offered on a regular basis throughout the state such as the<br />
University of Florida’s Build Green and Profit course, and the Florida Solar Energy Center’s<br />
Failure Proof Building series. This course, as well as others, can also be brought to your specific<br />
location.<br />
SUGGESTED DOCUMENTATION:<br />
Submit titles and agendas of courses taken, and number of staff who attended.<br />
BENEFIT:<br />
Educating staff on green building can assist with implementation of the techniques when projects<br />
are specified, and staff can assist with necessary occupant education.<br />
